It was some overseas singaporean networking event with the ceo of mediacorp and some people from the government house. well, i know u'll never expect me to get involved in such events. This media and comm undergrad come up to us and very ethusiatically asked,
"Hi! i'm blah blah blah.. from melb uni, majoring in media and political science. i've noticed that u guys seem really young and i'm just really interested to find out what attracted you to such event."
silence. I glanced at the girls. Well, i think Cindy started giving some politically correct answers but i went,
"to be honest, it was the mobtv that attracted us. and we didn have anything to do this weekend, so.."
haha! anyhow, we won 2 months free subscription of MOBTV and a homesong stories dvd!
Felt so much at home that evening, like you know you are part of a little community in this foreign land. i'm gonna sound really patriotic if i go on. yes. as you can see from the flag on my tv. haha.. and Cherie and Mel would know from my "YAR!" reply when Mel asked if i'll return after my degree.
