I ain't emo!

Crap.

So little time yet so many things to do. I don't even know what to start with! ok. i give up. now i'm staring blankly at this screen. Well, at least i'm typing words. meaningless words. BAH.

planning, planning, planning. I suck at PLANNING. I didn't even know how to use a planner. Didn't know what in the world the numbers at the sides are for. (yes, don't you laugh) I said DIDN'T.

Settled the payment and had our mini discussion about the trip. Oh gosh. I'm so glad that Eli and Mel(Yong) are such PLANNERS. They did research, printed out maps, planned a schedule. They were so serious. It really stunned me. All i did was asking my hk friends for shopping tips. (as bimbo as it sounds) Oh well, all i know is that i'm gonna have fun with Eli and Mel around! I have no idea why am i extremely "san-pat" around those 2 babes. Seriously, my loudness can be compared to Min's. I think i got split personality.

I've gotten my timetable and i have my fridays free! Mine's relatively well planned but Mel's(Leo) is such a headache. I wonder how am i gonna rearrange the slots for us to have common lects and tuts. Why are you out of town Mel?! Now now, Cherie!! Lala!! More PLANNING to come.

Bleeding Love

Closed off from love
I didn’t need the pain
Once or twice was enough
And it was all in vain
Time starts to pass
Before you know it you’re frozen

But something happened
For the very first time with you
My heart melted to the ground
Found something true
And everyone’s looking round
Thinking I’m going crazy

But I don’t care what they say
I’m in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don’t know the truth
My heart’s crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open

Trying hard not to hear
But they talk so loud
Their piercing sounds fill my ears
Try to fill me with doubt
Yet I know that the goal
Is to keep me from falling

But nothing’s greater
Than the rest that comes with your embrace
And in this world of loneliness
I see your face
Yet everyone around me
Thinks that I’m going crazy, maybe, maybe

But I don’t care what they say
I’m in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don’t know the truth
My heart’s crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open

And it’s draining all of me
Oh they find it hard to believe
I’ll be wearing these scars
For everyone to see

I don’t care what they say
I’m in love with you
They try to pull me away
But they don’t know the truth
My heart’s crippled by the vein
That I keep on closing
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
I keep bleeding
I keep, keep bleeding love
Keep bleeding
Keep, keep bleeding love
You cut me open and I

Keep bleeding

It’s typical of me to find escape, but not for this time.

Language is a tool

It's nice being able to put random thoughts into words and knowing that you are logical.I felt good about myself, having reasons laid out clearly enough for me to know that i'm still very much myself :)

I'm reminded of this particular lecture in anthropology that explains alot about humanity, at least to me it makes alot of sense.(Cherie and Mel are gonna laugh at me) I remember that bald yet charming guy saying "Language is a tool in culture". Through language we are able to express and understand each other. Obviously, it has to be coherent and it's this order in expression that makes us seem logical. If you haven't realise we all favour order.

So often we classify things even without any conscious effort. There're unspoken guidelines to what's appropriate and undesirable, what's right and wrong. We judge and label. They aren't rules stated in black and white but we all know it very well in our minds what's expected of us and the way we should behave. Basically, everyone has their own set of rules to follow. We find reasons for our actions and love it when everything goes as planned.

With the power of language, you can convince anyone to believe whatever crap you have in mind. Darn. Now i'm thinking of how the jerks, players, cheaters and deceivers abuse their talent! But it'll be good if you use it wisely, use it well.
I should really learn to use words.

Thank you for being so eloquent.:)

she's leaving ;(

My MichyElly!

No Rochester but dinner with Mich and her bro last night at raffles city instead! It's a great disparity, YES, but dinner at rochester was fully booked and tapas just won't do for Daniel. Guys, always quantity not quality.

We just have to do this everytime we meet..
The EEEEEEEE sisterhood!
We want Jo's eyes!

Daniel's ride, which goes so NOT well with me.

ME: (to Daniel) Luckily you came! so you can help us take pictures! (whisper to mich) he does have a purpose here.

HAHA!

HAPPY NEW YEAR pull your ear!

Haven't said that in a long time! too embarrassed to i guess. haha.. although i used to say it while reaching out for somebody's ear. It sounds so dumb now, even to kids of this generation. no fun.

I know the reunion dinnner pictures look dark and gloomy. I think my aunt wanted a romantic dinner. hur. Or maybe it's the energy-saving virtue. haha.. NO, we weren't in a gambling den. Blame my brother for the no flash theory. I swear we were way happier than how it seems on pictures.:D

How nice for the year of the rat.
Baking with granny and uncle instead. (My mom only offered to eat.)

The usual vistings. But this year, i'm more enthusiastic about cny. Maybe because i missed the last one. Family, friends, goodies and ang baos, I think chinese new year's my fav!

Watched a ridiculously dumb show on the second day of new year. What else, AH LONG PTE LTD! No doubt i think Mark Lee played his role well. Hilarious, i must say. But the plot, the jokes and humour are so typical and erm..lame. The songs, especially, got me goosebumps! Fortunately, Sweeney Todd saved some of my brain cells the next day. It's seriously awesome! The costumes, make-up, settings, characters, singing. Just like what Mel(Soon) said, "it's a feast for the eyes". Although Prinya thinks so because of the girls and their spilling bosoms. lol. Now, that johanna song is stuck in my head. "I FEEL U, JOHANNAAAAA"

Had peranakan food at straits chinese restaurant with Mel, Errol and his guys. It the only place u can have the whole restaurant for yourself during this festive season! Despite that, food was not bad. Afterall according to Isa, makansutra gave it full marks.
Bars at emerald hill are great to hang out at. Dimly lit cosy places, ideal for nice chit chat sessions. :)

Sunday was mahjong at Jo's. Jo's red dress and undies surely did bring her some luck. She and Min were like best gambling partners, one silent killer and another distract others with her loud "PONG!" or "CAN CAN CANN.. OH NO NO NO.." haha.. Not all were present but we had our fair share of fun! finally get to meet Marcus after a year! oh well, we understand. Anting is such a sweet girl. Anyway recently i find lots of aspiring pilots, even dede's joining the air force! How cool is it to be surrounded by pilots! *grin* Pilots are the hottest! no, i'm not hitting on dede. LOL.

I'm looking forward to so many things that i can foresee how depressing it can be once they're over.
I'll remember that.

Under construction

TESTING. I don't have many pics with me anyway. My cam died on me, which is always the case. I never bother charging it. It's so convenient to see, take and throw it in my bag. Then again, although i love love love photos, i do find it quite troublesome posing and snapping away cos sometimes i just wanna enjoy what i am doing at tt moment. But a picture speaks a thousand words. Very true, photos bring back memories and emotions one may never thought he or she will remember. So maybe, i'll make an effort from now on to snap all i like. I'll blame it on the bulky cam i have. Time for a slim and sleak one, yes daddy?

haha.. I was telling my dad that i'll get him a new shirt for new year. He smiled. Then i continued, "can u sponser my hk trip?". HEH. That is good investment. So maybe now i should add, "and a cam too?". If u think u'll get it so easily, u are too unskilled. u gotta end it off with "I'll be good and I love u." with that wide and innocent smile. But usually i am too much a man to say such sweet stuff so i go, "huhh..no money alreadyyyyy. I've been eating bread and kayaaaaa." :( *blink blink*
Dads will never find their daughters annoying. Thank goodness.

I must really say this..

I'm blessed with really good friends!

Cherie and Mel are much more excited about this blog than me myself! Really cute friends I have huh? So, they were asking me how i want my template to be and all, i thought it would be perfect to have ALL MY GOOD FRIENDS on this blog. so all u people, i hope u'll be very happy to see your faces up here. sweet.

It's the ever-so-yummy prata at the coffeeshop near SR with castz and the vaynies this Sat.(OMG. it's just TMR) Been craving for tt since last yr! I think all srjcian should know about it. Cheese prata is the best best BEST! it's crispy on the outside yet chewy inside, and the gravy is fantantic i tell u. But i sort of remember tt the prataman is kinda sexist, he likes girls better. Guys usually get stale cold ones, while we are served much faster with the ones fresh out from the pan! waha! I haven't tried the ones at jalan kayu or thomson, but i guess they'll never taste as good. It's not just the taste, but the memories which comes with it too i guess? oh.. right, don't give me that face!I know u won't understand why i make such a big hooha out of prata. U'll get it when u gotta pay 10 times the price(literally$$$) in melb to satisfy tt craving of yours! So I'll rather wait and lust cos frozen ones just never do!
Really looking forward to indulge myself in reminiscence with familiar places and people around!

Baking with momma tonight.

24 days in Sg
5 days in HK

P/s: I need pictures badly. They should be up soon, I hope.
